Ishara takes great pleasure in helping our clients get financed for their equipment purchases and operating capital as well as helping vendors get their invoices funded timely for the equipment they are selling. She enjoys delivering the best possible 5-star experience with the people we serve!
Ishara Kandegedara has been in the equipment finance industry since 2015 and is the Operations and Funding Manager at Matrix Business Capital. Her role in the company involves overseeing daily operations and balancing the demands of multiple departments, including funding, credit, Sales support, marketing, accounting, and office management. With experience in a variety of industries, Ishara applies her skills to optimize the company’s performance. Ishara started her journey at Matrix in Accounting and then quickly progressed to processing files, training new team members, recruiting, human resources, and learning funding as well as managing our numerous finance and business licenses. She takes great pride in ensuring Matrix has a stable foundation and that the team, clients, vendors, and funders all have a consistent and reliable experience.
Ishara is originally from Sri Lanka. She migrated to the US in 2008. When she first arrived in the country, she learned the language and put herself through college achieving her bachelor’s degree and with her family back in Sri Lanka she began pursuing “The American Dream”. Ishara’s career began in the USA, working at Disney and gained valuable experience in customer service, hospitality, and retail. She then transitioned to one of the largest motorhome dealerships in the US focused on their accounting and finance departments. Next, Ishara transitioned to a top accounting firm, after gaining extensive experience in various industries she transitioned to the accounting team at Matrix. She uses the experience gained in her prior careers to her advantage to maximize the success of Matrix Business Capital. She has worked for several organizations in different sectors, and has gained a wealth of knowledge about various aspects of business. Her expertise in equipment finance, which she has developed over her tenure with Matrix Business Capital, has been particularly valuable to Matrix.
Ishara Kandegedara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Accountancy from California State University, Long Beach.
Currently residing in Long Beach, California, Ishara enjoys spending her free time indulging in various hobbies. She likes watching TV shows, working out, reading, sewing, and painting. She also has fabulous cooking skills and enjoys makes amazing authentic Sri Lanken cuisine as well as juicing. She enjoys working out and running on her treadmill daily. She loves and has a passion for Shih Tzus!
